PLASTIC ROD HOLDER

Getting more rods in the
water helps you to catch more fish. It’s even easier
with the New Bert’s Custom Tackle Plastic Rod Holder
that works like our award winning heavy duty metal
ratcheting rod holder.
RATCHETING ROD HOLDER
You can set the 5
vertical positions by pressing the release button and
moving it into your desired position. When you get a
fish on you pull up on your rod with a one hand motion
to set the hook and pull the rod out of the Bert’s
Custom Tackle Plastic Rod Holder. That’s why the ratchet
rod system is great. An added bonus is that it’s easy
and safe to remove the rod from the holder in the
vertical position. Vertical adjustment is important
because it lets you put the rod tip near the water—great
for Dipsie or Planer Board Mast Fishing. Putting the
rods at different vertical angles allows you to array
multiple rods so your lines won’t tangle.
HORIZONTAL ADJUSTMENT
8 horizontal positions
are easy for you to set by lifting the Bert’s Custom
Tackle Plastic Rod Holder up and rotating it to the
desired position. Different horizontal angles allow you
to array multiple rods so your lines won’t tangle and
you can see the lines easier.
UNIVERSAL MOUNTING
You can Slide your Bert’s
Custom Tackle Plastic Rod Holder into Bert’s Custom
Tackle track and clamp it down with the metal thumb
screws. Or through bolt it to your gunnels. It mounts to
vertical or horizontal surfaces. (pics) Or mount it to
pontoon boat square rails. Or mount it to your round
rails—with our special rail clamp MF 3444—it has a slot
that keeps the rod holder from rotating when it’s
mounted near a vertical stanchion. This is optional and
must be purchased separately. (pic)
STRENGTH
It’s made of tough Lexan.
Its ratchet gear system is designed to give full
engagement of all gears so the load is spread out over
all the gears. The 8 position horizontal gear system has
a hex base and 4 gear teeth to take side load. In our
lab tests our rod holder was stronger than our
competition but not as strong as our metal rod holder.
We recommend that you use discretion when using our
plastic rod holder.
